OpenElectric

Cloud native and IoT Reference Architecture and open source projects for digital electrification

This project is defining the OpenElectric (OE) reference architecture- an open source Cloud based digital infrastructure for ultra low cost energy and e-mobility services for the electrified home.

This project is addressing a key challenge for our future – establishing a secure, trusted low cost infrastructure capable of scaling and supporting electrified homes across the globe.

The OpenElectric reference architecture has two main parts;

The first is an open architecture service mesh framework that defines data sets and pipelines, and a zero trust environment that can securely connect to solar, battery storage, electric vehicle charging systems in your home and business to service provider applications.

The second is a low cost hosted platform that offers a multi-Cloud native, Platform-as-a-Service capability for global energy utilities and community service providers to host and scale their home energy and transport applications.
